Internet Explorer 9 downloaded 2.35 million on the first day release

Microsoft said that the during the first 24 hours after Internet Explorer release the download reaching 2.35 million. The new release from Microsoft will also support HTML5 <video> element which enable video to be played without the need of plugins. The new technology will be using Windows Media Foundation API to play back video.
