Futuremark Oy is a Finnish software development company, that produces computer benchmark applications for home users and businesses. Its headquarters and R&D; department are located in Espoo, Finland.
Futuremark also operated Futuremark Games Studio, an arm of the company involved in video game development. This division was sold to fellow Finnish company Rovio Entertainment (known developer of the globally successful Angry Birds franchise) in March 27, 2012.
Founded in 1997 as “Futuremark” by members of the former demoscene group Future Crew, the company is the leading producer of computer benchmark applications in the world.
