2009 USANA Health Sciences Scam – The Verdict is In!

Usana

I know 6 people, all in different parts of the world, who are involved in the Usana Health Sciences Corporation. They all share two things in common. All 6 absolutely rave about the magnificent product line, and all 6 spend more money in their business than they make.

As an Online Marketing Consultant, I am asked time and again whether or not the Usana Health Sciences is a scam. Working with these reps, I have learned that Dr. Myron Wentz, founder and CEO of the company is absolutely dedicated to science and nutrition. He believes in the science of prevention through proper supplements and diet, and has lead USANA to be a leading company in the health and nutrition industry.

There is no doubt and little argument that the product line within this organization is top notch. Even the smallest amount of research will reveal that the haircare, skincare, oral hygiene, fitness and nutritional products have worked wonders in the lives of the users.

HOWEVER, as a business opportunity, you may want to take a much closer look.

As a Usana Health Sciences distributer, you work within a fairly typical MLM structure, with a few twists. Basically, you will purchase the company’s products at a wholesale price, and sell them at a retail price, thus creating a form of income. Also, as in most MLM’s, the most lucrative way to earn money is to recruit other people onto your team. The more people you recruit and the more product they sell, the more money you can make.

USANA’s compensation plan is binary in nature where you will develop a right side and a left side. You are paid when your right side and left side volumes hit certain levels. For example, if you have 1000 points or your right and 1000 points on your left you will receive a commission of $200.

Most of those involved as Usana Health Science reps have no or very limited online marketing experience and will tend to stick to the more conventional ways of marketing including recruiting your friends and family, attending hotel meetings and hosting product parties.

There is absolutely no evidence that Usana Health Sciences is a scam, but rather a legitimate business opportunity with a tremendous product line. However, unless you are happy to spin your opportunity to your warm market and your memory jogger list, this business may not be for you.

If you are looking for a business with a more substantial income without the weekly meetings and parties, a top-tired affiliate opportunity rather than a conventional MLM is most recommended. The online training, specialist coaching and lucrative compensation plans are greatly preferred.
