NORWALK, Conn., April 10, 2008  – Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) and representatives of a class of current and former African-American sales representatives have settled a class action lawsuit brought in May 2001. The plaintiffs alleged race discrimination with respect to sales territory assignments, quotas and compensation. SCO Group, best known for suing IBM and claiming it deserved royalties from companies using the popular Linux operating system, said Thursday that a private investment firm has agreed to put up the money to take SCO out of bankruptcy court.Stephen Norris Capital Partners and its partners from the Middle East, which SCO did not identify, have agreed to provide up to $100 million to reorganize SCO and take it private. Some of my first computing was done on an Apple. OK, it was really a Franklin ACE 1000, which was an Apple II clone that Steve Jobs or Steve Wozniak quickly and decisively crushed into oblivion via a lawsuit.
